Veterans Day is right around the corner to celebrate and honor our soldiers for their sacrifice for our country. Here at IU South Bend, we have some events that show our love to our veterans:
We have the Veterans Day Celebration that will be on Nov. 11 at Administration Suite 101 from 11:45 to 1 p.m. honoring our IU South Bend students, families, faculty, and staff who have served our country in military service. The other event is the Military Service & Veterans Book Club to discuss Omar Bradley’s “A Soldier’s Story” at the Franklin D. Schurz Library on Nov. 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Other outside campus to celebrate Veterans Day:
Veterans Day Ruck March has the 3rd annual Ruck March on Saturday, Nov. 8.
Veterans Day Makers Market is hosting Sticky Spoons Jam on Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This market will feature nine veteran-owned businesses and provide donations for homeless veterans. Hometown Heroes will be held at the Indiana Dinosaur Museum and South Bend Chocolate Company on Saturday, Nov. 15.
